  • Thank you for applying to be in our first season of the Alnwick/Haldimand Indoor Farmer's Market. Our goal with this market is to offer a diverse range of products that reflect the passio, talent and hard work of our local farmers, makers and artists. We will strive to provide a unique experience that customers will return to regularly. We will actively promote the market within Northumberland County, thorugh marketing materials and social media. Efforts will be made to attract both local residents and tourists. 


    Market Details:

    • $200 for the season (17 consecutive Sundays June 4th to September 24th). This fee in non-refundable once the market begins. Fee is to be paid by cash, cheque or debit at the Township office in Grafton 10836 County Rd. 2.
    • Spaces are to be chosen from the setup map on a first come first served basis after you have been approved as a vendor.
    • Tables and chairs will be provided.
    • Hydro connections are available in 8 spots only.
    • Vendors are invited to sell a variety of goods and services. All goods sold must be home grown and/or handmade. Reselling of third party goods in prohibited. 
    • Application deadline for full-time vendors is May 12th. If applicants are a good fit for the market, they will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, until spots are filled. 
    • Limited spots will be available, each week, for occasional vendors. Daily rate for occasional vendors is $20 per day. Spaces must be registered for and approved in advance, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. 


    Vendor fees are used to sustain and promote activities of the market. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Signage on site and throughout Alnwick/Haldimand Township
    • Rental of the Alwncik/Haldimand Civic Centre
    • Professional produced marketing materials
    • Social media and print advertising 


    Vendor Expectations:

    1. Vendors are asked to complete set- up by 8:45am on market day. Upon set-up, please leave parking spots at the front of the building available for customers. Extra parking is available at the back.
    2. Market is open from 9am to 12pm. If you are unable to stay for the duration of the market, please make arrangements for someone else to staff your booth until the close of market day.
    3.  As a courtesy to fellow vendors, please do not disassemble your booth earlier that the close of market day at 12pm.
    4. Garbage cans and recycling bins will be provided. These are not to be used to dispose of vendor products or bulky items. Please take your own garbage with you, for disposal, at the end of the day. 
    5. The goal is to create a market environment that is suitable to all participants. Spaces will be allocated at the beginning of the season, in a fair and reasonable manner, based on receipt of market fees. It is at the discretion of the market coordinators to rearrange spaces if needed. 
    6. If you will be late to arrive, please let the market coordinator know at least 1 hour prior to the start of the market. If you do not arrive by 8:45am, your spot may be given to another vendor for the day. 
    7. We recommend each vendor obtain the necessary licenses and/or insurance and to comply with all regulations and bylaws. When required, sanitary procedures must be followed and health/safety requirements met. 
    8. Payment, in full, is due upon acceptance of your application. Please do not send payment, until your spot has been confirmed. Vendor fee is non-refundable if you miss a market day or decide to forfeit your table for the season. 
    9. Occasional vendors must give at least 48 hours notice if they plan to set up. There are limited spots available and you must receive confirmation prior to attending. $20 booth fee  (cash  or cheque) is due on the day of the market, prior to set-up.  
    10. Vendors who disrespect fellow vendors, volunteers or visitors will be asked to leave the market and will forfeit their fee. This policy is at the discretion of the market coordinators. 
    11. Vendors are responsible for ensuring the venue is respected and returned to its original state at the end of each market day.
    12. In order to make the market a success everyone is encouraged to spread the word. Vendors are expected to promote the market via word of mouth, email and/or social media. 
    13. Vendors that would like to make announcements via the market will email aliciadesroches90@gmail.com with photos and captions at any time throughout the season. We will share these and link your preferred accounts on the Township's Facebook page using the hashtag #AHMarket.
    14. When sharing to social media please tag Township of Alnwick/Haldimand to ensure we see your posts and so that we are able to share them. 
    15. Health Safety: We will be following all necessary health and safety measures. Food samples will only be permitted if they are individually packaged (i.e. paper cups)
