Sandy Bay Park Playground

UPDATE: Option 1 will be installed August 2021

Sandy Bay Park is located at 110 Sandy Bay Road in Roseneath. This Rice Lake waterfront park becomes very busy during the summer months as it’s cherished by many residents and tourists.

This project was budgeted for in 2020 but due to Covid-19 restrictions, did not move forward. $55,000 was approved during the 2021 budget for the installation of a playground structure. Alnwick Haldimand Public Works Department installed a parking lot and cedar posts in the fall of 2020 to begin the transformation of this Park.

Action / Progress:

Due to the fact that this is a specialized task, three (3) different companies across the Province of Ontario were contacted for quotation. Four (4) different quotations were obtained from two (2) companies.

Township Council and Staff are requesting public input by voting for which playground structure will be installed.
